Our CEO, Brandi, has always been passionate about creating fun, educational games. But when her own nephew was in Kindergarten and still couldn’t read, it hit her hard. He knew his letters, but when it came to blending sounds—he was totally lost. And watching him struggle broke her heart (seriously, where are the tissues?!)
Determined to help, Brandi did what any great auntie would do: she grabbed one of our fidget mats, made some flashcards, and turned it into a game! (Because fidget mats make everything better, obviously.) Together, they started practicing blending simple CVC words, like “cat” and “dog,” and little by little, he started to get it. One pop at a time, his confidence grew, and soon enough—he was reading!
And just like that, Word Pop was born.
